About our Sutton in Ashfield branch
Four miles west of Mansfield, the market town of Sutton-in-Ashfield (known to most as simply Sutton) is accessible via the A38 and is just two miles from junction 28 of the M1, close to the East Midlands Designer Outlet. The former site of Silverhill Colliery, on thenorth-west edge of Ashfield, was transformed into woodland - featuring the highest point in Nottinghamshire - following the colliery’s closure. King’s Mill Hospital is located between Sutton and Mansfield.
Our Sutton branch is centrally located on Low Street, close to shops, restaurants and a travel agency. Branch staff can guide you through everything from opening an ISA or junior savings account to finding you the right mortgage through our mortgage partner or financial planning. They will expertly assist you with our range of building society services.
In 1999, and despite being unable to get a ceremony licence, the town’s ASDA became the first supermarket in the United Kingdom to hold a blessing and reception.
