Mortgage porting

All our mortgage products can be transferred to a new property (ported).

To produce a ported mortgage illustration for your client(s), we'll need a consent to release information form signed by you and your client. We need each borrower to sign the form for mortgages in joint names. This is to comply with the Data Protection Act.

Scan and email the completed consent form to mortgage.processing@thenottingham.com

When we receive the form, we'll fax you a summary of the existing mortgage account so you can talk to your client about their mortgage options.

Upon receiving the mortgage account summary, submit a paper application.

If your client wants to borrow more money, they can choose a product from our current product range for the top-up.

For more help, contact our intermediary enquiry line on 0344 481 0029 (option 2).

Clients who want to port their mortgage must ensure they apply before selling their original property.

They cannot complete their original mortgage and submit a new application later. They must also pay an ERC when they complete their original mortgage. This is refunded if they move to their new mortgage within six months. It can be a full or partial refund, depending on how much was borrowed on the original mortgage.

Borrowers don't have to do anything. But if they don't hear anything within a couple of weeks, they can call us directly on 0344 481 1224
